Andrew Neitlich.

Andrew has nearly two decades of experience as a healthcare management consultant and an executive coach. He has worked with physicians, nurse managers, and executives at Partners Healthcare, Kaiser Permanente, Scripps Health Care System, Catholic Healthcare West, Fresenius (Dialysis Centers), and Tidewater Healthcare. He has specialized in strategic and operational improvement, and has helped numerous healthcare organizations become more productive while maintaining or improving quality of care.

He also is the Founder and Director of The Center for Executive Coaching, a leading training and certification company for professionals and organizations that want to learn best practices in coaching.

Andrew received his MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School in 1991, and graduated summa cum laude from Harvard College in 1987. He is a frequent speaker to healthcare professionals on a variety of subjects, including critical thinking skills, performance improvement, informal power and influence, and leadership. He is the author of three books on business leadership.

David Brendel.

MD, PhD is a Harvard-trained psychiatrist and Certified Executive Coach with over a decade of experience helping professionals be more successful. His book, Healing Psychiatry: Bridging the Science/Humanism Divide, was published by MIT Press. He has published and lectured extensively on medical professionalism, including the ethics of using online technologies in clinical practice. In 2011, he won a teaching award from the Academy at Harvard Medical School. He served for eight years as Chair of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at Harvard-affiliated McLean Hospital, where he oversaw regulatory review of more than 250 human research studies.

David is the Founder and Director of Leading Minds Executive & Personal Coaching. He is a an Associate Certified Coach of the International Coach Federation and a Master Certified Coach Trainer in the Center for Executive Coaching. As Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Physician Transition & Leadership Institute, he leverages his years of clinical, academic, and leadership experience to advise other physicians who are transitioning to challenging new roles in their careers and personal lives. He also trains other mental health professionals to broaden their clinical skills and practice by becoming coaches themselves. David lives in Boston with his wife and children.

Nancy McAward RN, BSN, MMHS.

Since receiving her Masters Degree in Management of Human Services from Brandeis in 1984, Nancy has over 22 years of successful senior leadership experience in complex healthcare systems.

Nancy is unique in the healthcare world. She has a consistent track record of helping organizations turn around their financial performance while maintaining quality and service standards. She is experienced in JCAHO recertification, has a track record of successful negotiations and relationships with nursing unions, and is known for being a mentor to nursing managers and staff.

Unlike consultants who take a theoretical “house of cards” approach to management, Nancy is a strong nuts-and-bolts leader who understands what it takes to get results and improve performance in healthcare organizations. She also understands the ongoing challenges in healthcare and how to navigate them. Most importantly, she has tremendous respect and empathy for the role of the Nurse Manager, which inspired her to develop the Nurse Manager Performance Leadership Program with The Healthcare Performance Institute.

Mary Kwiatkowski.

Mary Kwiatkowski has two decades of leadership experience in developing behavioral health systems of care in both local and statewide roles. She serves on the statewide Pennsylvania Psychiatric Leadership Council. She has worked on both the clinical and management side of behavioral healthcare and understands the need to provide quality service in the changing and often turbulent healthcare environment. She has a proven track record of developing quality improvement initiatives and was recognized as PA Public Servant of the year for her work with the development of Consumer Satisfaction Teams by the Pennsylvania Alliance for the Mentally Ill. Mary specializes in behavioral healthcare strategy development and the execution of strategy through employee engagement and leadership development solutions, Mary is the Founder and Director of MEK Solutions a leadership development and executive coaching firm with an emphasis on employee engagement and leadership development including succession planning and team building.

She holds a Master’s Degree and Rehabilitation Counseling and is certified in the field. Mary is also certified with the International Coach Federation and is a trained and Master Certified Coach Trainer through the Center for Executive Coaching.

Bruce A. Heller, PhD.

Dr. Bruce Heller has over 20 years experience consulting with managers and executives on management development, improving productivity, leadership effectiveness, and organizational effectiveness. He has a strong academic background and extensive business experience with everyday issues facing business leaders.

Dr. Heller consulted to St. Luke Hospital, Century City Hospital, Midway Medical Center, and Encino Hospital. He has coached executives from such companies as Amgen, Gilead Sciences, Edwards LifeSciences, Lockheed-Martin, Northrup-Grumman, Schering-Plough, Varian VSP, Avail Medical, and Novo Nardisk, Baxter Health Care,

He served as vice-president of two internationally known human resource consulting firms, as director of a behavioral health care company, sales professional for two life insurance companies, and as training director of a nonprofit organization. He was a strategic partner with Arthur Anderson in their Human Capital Group. He has taught graduate classes on the psychology of individual and group development at Loyola Marymount University, Antioch University, and Pepperdine University. In addition, Dr. Heller has presented to the UCLA School Management Program on effective success strategies, lectured to the UCLA Business and Management Extension Program on assessing leadership effectiveness, The Executive Committee (TEC) on improving management effectiveness, and to managers of the Los Angeles Times on measurement process improvement techniques.

Dr. Heller has authored the book The Prodigal Executive-How to Coach Executives Too Painful to Keep, Too Valuable to Fire.

Dr. Heller is a consulting psychologist and member of the American Psychological Association Consulting Psychology Division. Dr. Heller holds a Ph.D. and Masters Degree in Education from the University of Southern California, where he researched the attitudes, characteristics, and thinking patterns of high achievers. He also earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from San Diego State University and he is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Karl Pister.

Karl Pister brings 27 years of corporate experience in coaching, counseling, training and consulting with mid to upper level leadership. Karl brings a pragmatic, “what is going to work and what is going to change” approach to coaching.

He has coached senior executives and physicians with Providence Health and Services, Harborview Medical Center, Swedish Healthcare, The Vancouver Clinic, among others.

Karl has coached and trained for a wide variety of companies and organizations such as Dyno Nobel, Jeld-wen, Intel, M Financial Group, Pennzoil, US Bank, US Forest Service, and US Fish and WIldlife Service.

He worked with Human Affairs International, a managed mental health care subsidiary of Aetna for nearly ten years as a director of network operations and account management.

His academic background includes Masters Degrees in Clinical Social Work and Marriage and Family Therapy and Bachelors of Arts degree in Spanish. Fully bi-lingual, Karl provides his coaching services both in English and in Spanish.
